A Jackson man is dead after a Sunday shooting, police said.

According to a release from Jackson Police Department, on Sunday, officers were called to a homicide on Medgar Evers Boulevard near Coleman Avenue. Detectives learned that the victim had been shot at this location.

Unfortunately, the victim, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The victim has been identified as Taboris Jefferson. His next of kin as been notified.
