LEAKE COUNTY – The Leake County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after a shooting was reported Tuesday night in the Madden community.
According to the sheriff’s office, shots were fired into an occupied home at 12602 Highway 488 on the night of April 22.
Witnesses reported hearing four or five gunshots and seeing two people running behind the Madden Country Store, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers or the Leake County Sheriff’s Office.
No additional details were immediately released.
