The Moss Point police department shared a warning about upcoming military training exercises. Residents in the area of Elder Ferry Road and Highway 63 should be aware that the Marine Forces Special Operations will conduct annual military training exercises on the evenings of November 10 and 11. The exercises will take place between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. each night.
During these exercises, residents may hear military aircraft, gunfire, and other loud noises. The Marine Forces have assured the public that these are routine training activities and there is no cause for alarm.
Officials ask for residents’ cooperation and understanding as they work to maintain readiness and proficiency through these exercises. Residents may contact local authorities with any concerns.
