The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting involving the Monticello Police Department that happened on November 6th.
Officers encountered a person near a gas station who presented a weapon at them while getting into a vehicle.
The officer discharged his weapon, striking the individual. The subject was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The officers were not injured.
