One person is injured after a shooting Sunday around 2:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Highway 19 South.
According to Acting Captain Dareall Thompson, The incident began with an altercation between two employees, which escalated into gunfire.
One individual was shot in the leg and transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle.
Police report that the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
Both individuals involved have been identified by Meridian Police. Once they have been formally charged, their identities will be released.
