Columbia Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing 79-Year-Old Man

The Columbia Police Department is asking the public to help find 79-year-old Delmar Lee Blake who was last seen on August 1, 2023.

Surveillance footage captured Mr. Blake driving his blue 2001 GMC Sierra, with Mississippi license plate DB0860U, along Columbia Purvis Road near the intersection with Game Reserve Road.

Mr. Blake is described as approximately 5’7″ tall, weighing around 175 lbs, with gray hair and brown eyes.

Authorities have noted that he was believed to be experiencing medical complications on the day of his disappearance, which may have impacted his well-being.

The Columbia Police Department urges residents to thoroughly search their properties and nearby wooded areas for any signs of Mr. Blake or his vehicle.

Any information, no matter how minor it may seem, could prove vital in locating him.
