On October 19, the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department received a letter from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, notifying them that Kortez Miller had failed to re-register as a sex offender. This failure led to Miller being classified as a noncompliant sex offender under state law.
Miller was taken into custody on October 28, and booked into the Prentiss County Jail.
He has been charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set his bond at $25,000.
The case is being led by Investigator Aaron Stolz, who will present it to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury for further consideration.
