Lauderdale County Coroner Stella McMahan confirmed Thursday that 79-year-old John Culpepper has died from injuries sustained in an alleged hit-and-run incident that occurred on Tuesday.
Culpepper, a partner at the CPA firm Culpepper & Culpepper, was involved in the accident, which took place off King Road at approximately 12:58 p.m.
Meridian police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying individuals captured in a photo related to the incident. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact the Meridian Police Department at 601-485-1893 or to reach out to Crime Stoppers at 855-485-8477 to provide anonymous tips.
The investigation into the hit-and-run is ongoing.
