The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon on Highway 84 in Covington County.
At approximately 12:15 p.m., officers responded to the scene where a 2015 Kia Optima, driven by 20-year-old Shakayiah Keys of Taylorsville, had left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Keys was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
