On August 21, the Tupelo Police Department arrested 24-year-old Julia L. Brown, of Tupelo, on charges of embezzlement.
The arrest followed a Lee County Circuit Court Capias Warrant issued in connection with a 2022 incident at Savings Gas Station, located at 447 East Main Street.
The gas station reported that an employee had stolen over $2,000 from the business.
Brown was taken into custody and is currently being held on a $5,000 bond, as ordered by the Lee County Circuit Court.
The case is now awaiting trial in Lee County Circuit Court.
