On July 16, Kim Laran Ivy McCalpin of Tishomingo was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail following a traffic stop by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
During the intake process, authorities discovered McCalpin was concealing a controlled substance.
McCalpin has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Facility.
Her bond was set at $25,000 by Judge Seth Adams.
