A death investigation is underway at the Raymond Detention Center after a detainee died following what Sheriff Tyree Jones calls a “major medical emergency.
MBI is now investigating.
30-year-old detainee Cleveland Roosevelt Allison suffered a major medical emergency Sunday afternoon.
He was transported to Merit Health via AMR where he was pronounced deceased shortly after he arrived.
His cause of death is unknown at this time and the Sheriff said that foul play is not suspected.
MBI is awaiting autopsy findings.
Allison was being held at the facility since April 13, 2024 for a 2019 indictment for forgery.
