A woman was hit and killed on I-55 near Woodrow Wilson on Tuesday night.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said the person was identified as 44-year-old Gamila Truss.
The wreck happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities said that when officers arrived to the scene, Truss had been hit and already died.
MHP and Capitol Police are investigating the crash.
