On January 8th, the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department took a report from a man who said someone had his vehicle and was refusing to return it.
The complainant said that the title was in the glove box of the vehicle.
He provided documentation that the title had been forged and titled in the suspect’s name.
Investigators Torie Jumper and Jason Chism conducted this investigation. They were assisted by Deputies Josh Brumley and Dennis Peeks.
The vehicle was recovered and 29-year-old Brody Armstrong of Booneville was charged with Felony Taking of a Motor Vehicle and Forgery.
His bond was set at $40,000.
The case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
