A one-car accident on Highway 18 in Hinds County killed a man from Port Gibson today.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) responded to the accident that happened around 9:45 a.m.
Authorities report that 47-year-old Marlon T. McDonald was driving his 1999 Chevrolet Corvette when the vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree.
McDonald was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected from his vehicle, and died at the scene.
This crash is under investigation by MHP.
