FULTON – Itawamba Community College moved up four spots to No. 8 in the latest NJCAA Division I football rankings following a 42-41 comeback victory at Coahoma.

The Indians scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to erase a 35-21 deficit and improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) North Division play. The road victory followed a 31-0 shutout of rival Northeast.

ICC entered the week ranked No. 12. The move to eighth marks the Indians’ highest ranking of the season after opening the year receiving votes in the preseason poll.

The Indians have won two straight since their lone loss at then No. 4 Gulf Coast and remain unbeaten in North Division play.

ICC will host Holmes (1-4, 1-0 MACCC North) Thursday night with the Guaranty Bank opening kick scheduled for 7 p.m. The Metro Ford Pregame Show will air on SuperTalk 101.9 FM and LetsGoICCTV.com/red starting at 6:30 p.m.
