Three arrested after second drug search at same Pearl River County home

PEARL RIVER COUNTY – Three people were arrested after authorities executed a second search warrant in just over a month at the same Pearl River County residence, according to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department.

The investigation centered on a home at 3404 Highway 43 North in Picayune, where authorities said they had received numerous complaints about suspected drug activity.

The first search warrant was executed Aug. 11 by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department and Picayune Police Department.

Investigators said Aaron Myers, 33, and Aundrea Young, 37, were at the residence during the search. Authorities reported finding a distribution quantity of methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging materials and firearms.

Myers and Young were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm.

Later that day, deputies returned to the address for a separate call for service and arrested William Knipper, 51. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Authorities said all three later bonded out of jail, but investigators continued receiving complaints about suspected drug activity at the residence.

A second investigation followed, and on Sept. 24, the sheriff’s department, Picayune police and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics executed another search warrant at the home.

Knipper, Myers and Young were all found at the residence, according to the sheriff’s department.

Investigators said the second search turned up additional methamphetamine, digital scales and packaging materials they described as consistent with narcotics distribution.

All three were arrested again and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Knipper also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Pearl River County Justice Court revoked their previous bonds, and authorities said the three will remain in the Pearl River County Correctional Facility until a later court date.

Sheriff David Allison thanked residents for reporting suspected drug activity and credited cooperation between the sheriff’s department and Picayune Police Department.

Anyone wishing to report suspected drug activity can call 601-403-2582 or contact Mississippi Crime Stoppers. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
