WALTHALL COUNTY – An 18-year-old woman was killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 98 in Walthall County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 9:20 p.m. Sept. 30.
MHP said a 2017 Ford Focus driven by 57-year-old Terence Thompson of McComb was traveling east on Highway 98 when it collided with a westbound 2014 Jeep Liberty driven by 18-year-old Alyssa Scroggins of Sumrall.
Scroggins suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thompson was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. His condition was not released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
