Safe Haven Rescue MS seeks urgent donations after medical crises deplete supplies

Safe Haven Rescue MS is asking the public for help after recent medical emergencies depleted much of the organization’s funding and everyday supplies.

The rescue said it is currently caring for about 57 dogs each day and is running critically low on basic items needed for feeding and sanitation.

Its most urgent needs include bleach and bleach spray cleaner, paper towels and 50-pound bags of Value Pak Black dog food.

According to the rescue, recent veterinary expenses — including a parvovirus outbreak involving a litter of puppies — significantly reduced its available funds.

The organization said caring for dozens of dogs in a residential setting requires roughly eight rolls of paper towels and multiple gallons of bleach each day.

Supporters can purchase supplies for local pickup, ship items directly through retailers such as Sam’s Club, Walmart or Amazon, or make monetary donations to help cover veterinary bills and specialized diets.

For local pickup orders, the rescue asks donors to designate Chris Segura/Safe Haven Rescue as the pickup person.
