CLINTON – The Clinton Police Department is mourning the unexpected death of K-9 Officer Anika, who died Wednesday following a sudden medical condition.
The department announced Anika’s end of watch as Sept. 30, 2026.

Police described Anika as a loyal and courageous member of the department whose loss is being felt throughout the agency and community.
“Anika was not just an Officer, but a faithful companion, a defender, and a beloved member of the department family,” the department said in announcing her death.
The department also offered condolences to Fox and others who worked alongside Anika.
“Thank you for your tireless service and devotion, Anika,” the department said. “Your shift is done, your duty is fulfilled, and your legacy will never be forgotten.”
