MOSELLE – The Jones County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant Monday at a residence on Turtle Bluff Road in Moselle as part of an investigation into alleged drug sales.
According to the sheriff’s department, the search warrant was connected to an investigation involving 40-year-old Joshua Webb and the alleged sale of dangerous narcotics, including heroin and fentanyl.
Webb was arrested and charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and felony possession of methamphetamine. He is also being held for another agency.
Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin said investigators are continuing to build cases against suspected drug dealers and execute search warrants as part of the department’s effort to combat illegal narcotics.
Webb is being held at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility. His bond was set at $25,000 during an initial appearance Monday in Jones County Justice Court.
Webb is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
