MADISON — Families can kick off the fall season Saturday with a free, family-friendly dance at Madison Square Center for the Arts.
The Scarecrow Shuffle: A Fall Family Ball will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2103 Main St. in Madison.
The event, presented by the City of Madison in partnership with Broadmoor Baptist Church and local businesses, will feature easy-to-learn ballroom-style dances suitable for all ages and experience levels.
A dance leader will teach participants each dance and walk them through the steps before the music begins. Organizers say no previous dance experience is necessary.
Families are encouraged to participate together, and dressing up is optional.
Light refreshments will be available during breaks, provided by Hen and Egg and Keesler Federal Credit Union.
The event is free, with free parking available. Organizers recommend arriving a little early to get settled before dancing begins at 1 p.m.
