STARKVILLE — Mississippi State University is asking Bulldogs attending next week’s football game to make some noise, and potentially history, when the team hosts Missouri on Sept. 26.

MSU Bulldogs will help set a new world record for most cowbells ringing simultaneously during the event. The SEC home opener also is the university’s annual “white out” game. Tickets are on sale now at hailstate.com.

To establish the world record, volunteers in bright green MSU T-shirts will officially count cowbells as participants enter the stadium. Organizers ask that fans be diligent to ensure all cowbells are counted upon entry.
