GREENVILLE – A Greenville man has been arrested on kidnapping and rape charges following an investigation into a sexual assault reported in April.
Kordarial Hughes was taken into custody at his residence Friday, Sept. 11, without incident, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Police said officers responded to Delta Health on April 13 after receiving a report of a sexual assault. The victim reported being taken to a location in Greenville and sexually assaulted without consent.
The department’s Criminal Investigation Division investigated the report and obtained felony arrest warrants for Hughes on kidnapping and rape charges.
Hughes was transported to the Greenville Police Department for booking.
Police have not released identifying information about the victim, citing the sensitive nature of the investigation.
