NATCHEZ — American Cruise Lines and the City of Natchez will break ground Wednesday on a new cruise dock at Ferry Street Landing, marking a major addition to the city’s riverfront infrastructure.
The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 16 at Ferry Street Landing, the former location of the Isle of Capri Casino, at 98 Silver St.
The new dock is expected to support Natchez’s continued role as a destination for Mississippi River cruises and enhance the city’s riverfront infrastructure.
Representatives from American Cruise Lines, the city of Natchez and local community leaders are expected to attend the ceremony.
The event will include remarks from representatives of American Cruise Lines and the city, followed by a ceremonial groundbreaking.
Media will have opportunities to photograph and record the ceremony and conduct interviews with participating officials.
