PIKE COUNTY — Six people have been taken into custody following a drive-by shooting investigation that began early Sunday morning on Hollow Drive near Highway 98 East, according to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the area after receiving a report of a drive-by shooting. Witnesses told investigators a silver Cadillac was believed to have been involved, prompting a BOLO to surrounding law enforcement agencies.

McComb police later located a silver Cadillac traveling on Delaware Avenue. Officers stopped the vehicle after observing that its license plate was obstructed.

During the investigation, officers determined the occupants were believed to be connected to the reported shooting. Six people were taken into custody, and officers recovered a rifle and a pistol from the vehicle.

Those arrested include:

  • Kendarious Johnson, 27, of Brookhaven, charged with shooting into a dwelling and conspiracy.
  • Isaac Lee, 20, of Brookhaven, charged with conspiracy.
  • Terrience Bates, 20, of Brookhaven, charged with shooting into a dwelling and conspiracy.
  • Timara Ringold, 27, of Brookhaven, charged with conspiracy.
  • Jasmine Smothers, 25, of Brookhaven, charged with conspiracy and malicious mischief.
  • Leanisha Brown, 19, of Brookhaven, was detained for questioning but has not been charged.

The investigation remains active and additional charges could be filed as investigators gather evidence and conduct interviews.

Pike County Sheriff Bryant Wally Jones thanked the McComb Police Department for helping locate the vehicle and take the suspects into custody.

“Anytime we have a shooting in Pike County, we are going to take it seriously,” Jones said. “Our deputies and investigators will work diligently to identify those responsible, gather the evidence, and make sure these cases are presented appropriately through the criminal justice system.”
