ADAMS COUNTY – An Adams County man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to 39 felony counts involving child sexual exploitation material, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyler Anthony Keith pleaded guilty Sept. 10 to 39 counts of depicting a child engaging in sexual conduct.

Senior Circuit Court Judge Debra W. Blackwell sentenced Keith to 30 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections on each count, with the sentences to run concurrently.

Under the sentencing order, Keith will serve 15 years in prison, with the remaining time suspended. He will then serve five years of formal reporting post-release supervision and 10 years of informal non-reporting supervision.

The order also states Keith will not be eligible for parole and must register as a sex offender.

Keith was also fined $50,000 and ordered to pay assessments to the Victims of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation Fund and the Mississippi Children’s Trust Fund, along with court costs and fees.

Following sentencing, Keith was remanded to the custody of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to await transport to the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Sheriff Travis Patten called the case one of the largest child sexual exploitation investigations in the department’s history and credited investigators, prosecutors and the court for bringing the case to a conclusion.

“Cases involving the sexual exploitation of children require countless hours of painstaking investigative work, attention to detail and a commitment to seeing the case through from beginning to end,” Patten said.

He also thanked District Attorney Tim Cotton and his office for prosecuting the case.
