Jones County- A Jones County sheriff’s deputy helped a 17-year-old driver Thursday morning after a tarp became wrapped around her front driver’s side tire on Interstate 59.
According to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Davy Keith stopped to assist the teen near the 85-mile marker.
The sheriff’s department said Keith worked to remove the tarp from the tire and was eventually able to get the vehicle cleared.
The driver was then able to safely continue on her way.
The sheriff’s department described the incident as another example of deputies assisting motorists in the community.
