CLINTON – The City of Clinton will hold its annual Fall Cleanup from Oct. 10 through Oct. 17, giving residents a chance to dispose of yard waste, bulky items and other household debris at no charge.
The cleanup will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the former Northside Elementary School, 1111 Old Vicksburg Road. The site will be closed Sunday, Oct. 11.
Residents are asked to line up on Longwood Place in the Briars and turn west onto Old Vicksburg Road to enter the disposal site.
The service is available only to City of Clinton residents, and proof of residency will be required. Accepted forms include a City of Clinton water or garbage bill, driver’s license or state-issued ID showing a Clinton address.
Electronics, refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning units and hazardous materials will not be accepted during the Fall Cleanup.
The city will hold a separate E-Waste and Hazardous Waste Disposal Day from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, at 525 Springridge Road.
That event will accept electronics and household hazardous materials, including paint and pesticides.
