WEST POINT — The West Point Police Department will host its annual Faith & Blue Weekend Oct. 10-11, bringing law enforcement, churches and the community together for a weekend focused on building relationships and strengthening the community.
The main event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Marshall Park in West Point. The weekend will continue from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11.
The Saturday event will include a variety of activities, including a motorcycle ride, music by a DJ, food and drinks, vendors, family activities and community resources.
The department is inviting local churches to participate as event partners, vendors or choirs. Five choir performance slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Faith & Blue is built around the idea that strong communities grow through mutual respect and understanding between law enforcement, faith organizations and residents. The national initiative describes faith institutions and law enforcement as key community partners whose collaboration can help neighborhoods thrive.
West Point police said the event is intended to provide an opportunity for residents and officers to connect outside of traditional law enforcement interactions while bringing churches and community organizations together.
The department’s promotional materials encourage residents to attend under the theme “Faith in God. Service to all.”
The event is part of the 2026 National Faith & Blue Weekend, which runs Oct. 9-12 nationwide.
For information about participating as a church, vendor or choir, contact Lt. Mary Huggins or Capt. Carl Carter at 662-494-1244.
