VERONA – A man died following a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Lee County, according to WTVA.
Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green confirmed the fatal shooting happened in Verona.
The victim was taken to a Tupelo hospital, where he later died, WTVA reported.
Green said the man’s identity could not yet be released.
An autopsy has been ordered. No additional details about the shooting were immediately available.
