Dianne Feazell

GULFPORT — A 62-year-old Gulfport woman is being held on a $1 million bond after authorities say she slashed her special needs son in the head with a knife.

Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley announced Thursday that Dianne Feazell was charged with one felony count of domestic aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies responded to a reported stabbing in the 10000 block of Steeplechase Drive in Gulfport, according to the sheriff’s office. Investigators determined at the scene that Feazell allegedly slashed the side of her son’s head with a knife.

The victim lives in the home with Feazell and his father, authorities said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was listed in stable condition.

Feazell was booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. Judge Theressia Lyons set her bond at $1 million.
