(Photo: Coahoma County Fire)COAHOMA COUNTY — One person was airlifted to an area trauma center after being trapped inside a vehicle following a crash Tuesday afternoon on Harry Black Road, authorities said.
The Coahoma County Fire Department and Pafford EMS responded to the area after receiving a report of a motor vehicle collision involving entrapment.
Fire personnel found one person trapped inside a vehicle and suffering from severe traumatic injuries, according to the fire department.
As firefighters and rescue personnel worked to extricate the patient, paramedics entered the vehicle and began providing emergency medical treatment.
Once the patient was safely removed from the vehicle, they were airlifted to an area trauma center for further treatment.
The Bolivar County Fire Department also responded and assisted with operations because of the location of the crash.
The Coahoma County Fire Department thanked Pafford EMS, the Bolivar County Fire Department, air medical personnel and other responding agencies for their coordinated response.
