LAFAYETTE COUNTY — A 20-year-old Oxford man is being held in the Lafayette County Detention Center after deputies arrested him in connection with an auto burglary reported last month on County Road 405.
Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary Aug. 25, according to authorities.
Investigators obtained an affidavit and arrest warrant for Trey Sims on a charge of burglary of a commercial building, cars or other structures.
Sims was located in Oxford and taken into custody Aug. 28. He was sent to the Lafayette County Detention Center.
A Lafayette County Justice Court judge set Sims’ bond at $25,000 during an initial appearance Aug. 28. The bond associated with Sims’ previous auto burglary charge was also revoked, authorities said.
Sims remains in custody at the Lafayette County Detention Center.
