ORIGINAL STORY:
SOSO — The Jones County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a nonverbal man with special needs who was found walking in the middle of a highway east of Soso Wednesday morning.
Deputies found the unidentified man on Highway 28 and took him into protective custody while they work to determine his identity and locate his family.
Authorities have not released additional information about where the man may have come from or how long he had been walking along the highway.
Anyone who recognizes the man or knows his family is asked to contact the Jones County Emergency Operations Center at 601-425-0223.
