TUPELO — A Nettleton man was charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle after witnesses told Tupelo police they saw him enter vehicles on Ingram Drive, authorities said.
Officers responded to Ingram Drive on Aug. 29 after receiving a report of an individual dressed in all black looking into vehicles, according to police.
When officers arrived, they contacted a person matching the description and allegedly found drug paraphernalia and a large amount of U.S. currency in his possession.
Police then spoke with two people on Ingram Drive who said they witnessed the suspect enter both of their vehicles.
Following further investigation, Tiyosha L. Pratt, 29, of Nettleton, was charged Aug. 30 with two counts of burglary of a vehicle.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Pratt held without bond. Police said Pratt was already out on bond on a previous felony charge at the time of his arrest.
The charges are expected to be presented to the Lee County grand jury.
