GREENVILLE — Greenville police are asking for the public’s help locating a vulnerable woman who was reported missing from the Stone Street area after family members found her cellphone left behind at her home.
Lillian Jackwell was last seen by a family member at approximately 4 p.m. Sunday and was last spoken to by phone at about 5 p.m., according to the Greenville Police Department.
When family members later went to check on her, Jackwell was not at the residence, and her cellphone was found on the kitchen table, police said.
Jackwell is considered a vulnerable missing person because of medical and cognitive conditions that may cause her to become confused or disoriented. Police said they are concerned for her safety because she left her phone behind and may have difficulty finding her way home.
She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 147 pounds. She has a short blonde-and-gray Afro and uses a walker.
Police are asking residents, particularly those in and around the Stone Street area, to check their properties, yards, porches, sheds, garages and other areas where Jackwell may have sought shelter or become disoriented.
Anyone who sees Jackwell is asked to remain with her if it is safe to do so and immediately contact police.
