OXFORD — A Corinth man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after investigators found him with nearly 4,000 files depicting the sexual abuse of children, federal officials said.
Zachary “Zach” Alan Little, 36, was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge Michael P. Mills after being convicted of transporting images and videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct from the dark web to an online cloud storage service.
According to court documents, many of the nearly 4,000 files recovered in the investigation depicted children between the ages of 7 and 10.
In addition to the 10-year prison sentence, Little was ordered to serve five years of supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender where he lives, works or attends school.
The FBI and the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office investigated the case.
U.S. Attorney Scott Leary said child exploitation cases continue to grow in complexity and prevalence and praised the investigators and prosecutors involved in the case.
FBI Jackson Field Office Special Agent in Charge Robert Eikhoff said the agency remains committed to identifying and prosecuting people who exploit children.
“Little’s exploitation of our youth is a profoundly egregious crime, and it will not be tolerated under any circumstance,” Eikhoff said.
Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch said children depicted in sexual abuse material are revictimized each time the images are shared or viewed.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Parker S. King prosecuted the case as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse.
