CLAIBORNE COUNTY – The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man found dead along Grand Gulf Road earlier this week.
Authorities said the man was 60-year-old Todd Lavon Walker of Magee.
Deputies were called to Grand Gulf Road around 5:54 a.m. Aug. 24 after receiving a report of someone lying in a ditch who appeared to be dead.
Walker was found deceased when deputies arrived.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist with the case.
At this time, authorities said no foul play is suspected.
At the request of Walker’s family, the sheriff’s office also released a photograph of him with his three grandchildren.
Sheriff Edward Goods and the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office extended condolences to Walker’s family and friends.
