ADAMS COUNTY – Emergency crews responded Thursday after a large tree fell onto an outbuilding and a fire broke out behind a home on Upper Kingston Road, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to 492 Upper Kingston Road on Aug. 27 for a reported structure fire involving a shed behind a residence.
Preliminary information indicates a large tree fell onto the shed, causing significant damage. The homeowner later discovered the outbuilding fully engulfed in flames and called for emergency assistance.
The Natchez Fire Department responded and began extinguishing the fire.
Photos from the scene showed extensive damage to the outbuilding and a large uprooted tree across the property.
No injuries were reported, and the residence itself did not appear to have sustained direct fire damage based on preliminary information.
Authorities asked motorists and residents in the area to use caution while emergency crews continued working at the scene.
