CLAIBORNE COUNTY – The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was found dead in a ditch along Grand Gulf Road early Monday morning.
Deputies responded around 5:54 a.m. Aug. 24 after receiving a report of a person lying in a ditch who appeared to be deceased.
When deputies arrived, they found a deceased white man.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was contacted and is assisting with the case.
Sheriff Edward L. Goods Sr. said no foul play is suspected at this time.
The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
