HINDS COUNTY – The Mississippi Highway Patrol is responding to an overturned tanker on Interstate 55 northbound in Hinds County.
The crash happened near the 76-mile marker, according to MHP Troop C.
Authorities said the tanker was carrying a non-hazardous liquid.
The driver suffered injuries, though the severity was not immediately known.
The roadway remains open while emergency crews work to secure the scene and clear the area.
