VICKSBURG — Three people, including two 15-year-olds, were shot Tuesday evening at the Waltersville Estates apartment complex, according to the Vicksburg Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired at the complex around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, and found 15-year-old Anthony Nash suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Merit Health River Region for treatment.
Police later learned that 19-year-old Jayden Bailey had arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound. A second 15-year-old, Davonte Thigpen Jr., was also being treated at the hospital after being shot.
The conditions of all three were unknown.
Preliminary information indicates the shooting may have stemmed from an ongoing dispute involving the three individuals, police said.
The shooting remains under investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
