WIGGINS – A body was recovered from Flint Creek on Tuesday after reports of a possible drowning prompted a search and rescue operation, according to WLOX.
The Wiggins Police Department led the search after authorities received reports that someone may have drowned in the area.
Following an extensive search, crews located and recovered a body.
Preliminary information indicates the death was the result of an accidental drowning, WLOX reported.
The person’s identity has not been released as authorities work to notify next of kin.
The incident remains under investigation by the Wiggins Police Department.
