Booneville woman charged with meth possession, child abuse after traffic stop

PRENTISS COUNTY – A Booneville woman was arrested on drug and child abuse charges following a traffic stop in Prentiss County.

On Aug. 6, Prentiss County Deputy Ethan Hester stopped a vehicle for improper equipment.

As a result of the stop, 59-year-old Linda Strange of Booneville was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and child abuse for allegedly allowing a child to be present.

Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set Strange’s bond at $15,000.

North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith is expected to present the case to the next grand jury.

Deputy N’shaun Cameron assisted with the traffic stop.

Strange is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
