FULTON — A juvenile has been arrested after authorities say threats were made on TikTok targeting Itawamba Attendance Center.
The Fulton Police Department said investigators were notified by the FBI on Saturday about the threats. Fulton police then worked with Itawamba County School District school resource officers and the Mississippi Department of Homeland Security to identify the person responsible.
Investigators identified and located the juvenile Sunday. The juvenile was interviewed with a parent present before being taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Juvenile Detention Center.
The juvenile was charged with terroristic threats.
Police said they have identified no additional threats against Itawamba Attendance Center, and there is no indication the juvenile had any accomplices within the school.
Because the suspect is a juvenile, authorities are not releasing additional identifying information.
The Fulton Police Department said it takes all threats of violence seriously and thanked the FBI, school district SROs, the Mississippi Department of Homeland Security and others who assisted with the investigation.
