FLOWOOD – Mississippi Blood Services is urging residents to donate blood as the organization reports that the state’s blood supply is running low.
Officials said donors are needed now and emphasized that a single blood donation can help save multiple lives.
Donations can be made at the Flowood Donor Center, 115 Tree St., or the Oxford Donor Center, 2627 W. Oxford Loop, Suite C.
Mississippi Blood Services is also encouraging residents to participate in mobile blood drives across the state.
The organization said anyone considering donating is encouraged to schedule a visit or stop by a donor center as soon as possible.
All blood types are needed.
