BOONEVILLE – A Booneville man was arrested after a bicycle stop led investigators to discover cocaine and a handgun.
On July 28, Prentiss County Investigator Kolby Knight stopped a bicyclist for allegedly failing to obey a traffic control device. North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith assisted with the stop.
The bicyclist was identified as 44-year-old Danny Michael Grove Jr. of Booneville.
Authorities said Grove was found in possession of powder cocaine and a handgun.
Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set his bond at $20,000.
Smith is expected to present the case to the next grand jury.
Grove is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
