GREENVILLE – Greenville police have arrested two people in connection with a burglary at a business on Nelson Street.
Officers responded to the business at 1113 Nelson St. after the owner reported seeing movement inside the store, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Police said two people were found inside and later identified as James Bell and Latasha Haynes.
During the investigation, officers recovered merchandise reported stolen from the business, including beer, candy, cakes and soft drinks, at a residence on Muscadine Street.
Bell and Haynes were taken into custody and charged in connection with the burglary.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Greenville Police Department.
Bell and Haynes are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
