VICKSBURG – A 62-year-old woman died after suffering an apparent medical emergency and crashing into a fixed object in a Vicksburg parking lot Sunday evening.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. July 19 in the parking lot at 2842 Clay Street, according to the Vicksburg Police Department.
A preliminary investigation indicates the woman experienced a medical emergency while driving before her vehicle struck the object.
She was taken to Merit Health River Region, where she later died.
The woman’s identity is being withheld pending notification of her family.
The crash remains under investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
